Small Group Lessons   A great way for a group of friends, families or colleagues (or complete strangers) to begin learning Alexander Technique.  Also, ideal for those who wish to explore the application of Alexander Technique to a specific activity.  For example, a group lesson for singers, golfers, public speakers, sports enthusiasts, etc.

A small group lesson can be a fun, invigorating experience to add to a day out with your friends.  It will be a valuable and unique experience you will treasure.

 

A group of 3-5 people.

$150 per lesson per group (20% discount is available with pre-purchase of 5 lessons to be completed within a 6 month period - $600 ).

Individual Lessons Find the perfect fit for your life!

 

The best way to tailor Alexander Technique to your life is through our Private (individual) Lesson offering. Barbara has been teaching private lessons since 1991.  She is a master at developing personalized lesson plans to apply A.T. to your daily activities, hobbies, and professional pursuits.

$100 per lesson (20% discount is available with pre-purchase of 5 lessons to be completed within a 6 month period - $400 ).

Pairs - take a lesson with someone else!

 

This is a lesson for two students.  A fun and economical way to learn Alexander Technique.  You share the cost and the enjoyment of learning together. It is wonderful to be able to observe someone else learning with you.  This is a great way for friends and couples to grow together.  Barbara has been teaching since 1991.  She is a master at developing personalized lesson plans to apply A.T. to your daily activities, hobbies, and professional pursuits.

$125 for two people sharing a lesson (20% discount is available with pre-purchase of 5 lessons to be completed within a 6 month period - $500 ).

Refresher Events - "At Ease" meetings

Previous students of AT West are invited join Barbara and Seth at their home in Thousand Oaks, CA for a brief, uplifting, Alexander Technique hands-on refresher.

 

• Barbara presents one AT idea, followed by each person taking a turn for some hands-on AT regarding their chosen activity or interest.

• Meetings last about 75 minutes

• No more than 4 attendees 

• Tea, coffee, and juice will be provided

• Pre-registration is required

• The cost is $15 (Some grants may be available. See "A Note About Our Fees" below)

Customized Classes, Lectures, and Workshops

You can book Barbara and Seth to come to your university, school, business or organization for a customized hands-on class or workshop.  AT is a great way to break up the monotony of a "required company in-service training" or to increase the quality of your student's experience in your classroom, or to simply provide a wonderful experience for your friends and family.  Some topic suggestions are stress reduction, ergonomics, communication/presentation skills, conflict resolution, mindfulness - or just a fun way to thank your employees and staff!  Please contact Seth to discuss your needs and ideas.  Customized rates apply.

A Note About Our Fees

We truly love the AT "Work".  It has enriched our lives and the lives of our children in ways so significant it is difficult to describe.  It has been a means-whereby we have survived and thrived through some devastating life events, and it has enhanced our greatest joys.  We sincerely want to share AT with you and your loved ones.  We are grateful for the gift of AT in our lives, and we are grateful to our teachers, Martha Hansen Fertman, Bruce Fertman, and others who made it possible for us to study and teach.

Our lesson fees are a benchmark.  We are committed to making AT affordable for all.  That is why we set aside 20% of every full lesson fee we receive into a grant fund.
